Reach has some competition

For the first time in Halo’s history it has a lot of competition from another game. With the release of Call of Duty: Black ops some Halo players are making the switch. Black ops had a world record 2.9 million users online the day after release. In comparison Halo Reach had only 700 thousand. To give Reach some credit though it is only a single platform game while Black ops can be played on every console including the PC. Regardless it is yet to be seen if the impact of black ops will take an effect on the Halo Reach fan base. We sure hope not.
